This is the home for a new IRC client ... Programmers [irc]

It is originally designed for programmers but can also be used by novice IRCers due to it's simplicity. Goals have been to reduce the clutter of many modern clients while keeping the features that are useful for everyday usage.

The client is written in Java, so can be used on multiple platforms. It supports multiple networks, network service authing, an advanced copy-paste system (great for coders), tabbed network/channel with mutiline text entry.

It has an embedded script engine that currently supports Groovy, JRuby, Jacl(TCL), Bean Shell, and Jython. This is a very powerful way to add to or even extend the functionality of the client.
